
According to some canadian cell phone websites, rumor has it that Deutsche Telekom would like to introduce T-Mobile to the Canadian market. They have been pre-approved for a financing and protocol agreement, testing roaming, cell tower reception and international data agreements. Deutsche Telekom already owns the name T-Mobile in Canada and they plan to launch T-Mobile in Canada by 2009.
Currently, Rogers (including Fido) is the only GSM carrier in Canada. With T-Mobile’s possible entrance, data rates are likely to drop ( Finally ! ). T-Mobile also plans to introduce unlimited BlackBerry plans priced at $75 monthly.
T-Mobile would offer many of their US devices such as the Sidekick line and HTC products and possibly the long awaited iPhone!
